After Grenfell, I started looking into alternatives to rigid foam insulation and sharing viable leads with clients and contractors. Many are already familiar with the health and energy-saving benefits of natural insulation, so questions tend to focus on fire safety, material cost and availability.
Research allows us to identify affordable products from UK suppliers which can be delivered within the construction timeframe. Although relatively small in size and budget, Highgate House and Milton House punch above their weight in terms of sustainable design, successfully incorporating the use of natural insulation.
